The United States of America, unfortunately, has faced Civil War. Through the tenacity and wisdom of our highest officials, the war was ended by addressing both injustice (i.e., Emancipation Proclamation) and economics disparities or inequalities. Albeit, an imperfect end to the conflict, the war ended with our country intact. Instead of continuance of this Civil War in Syria and potential escalation by us engaging with military force, we the people ask that the U.S. government would mediate talks for peace between the opposing groups in Syria. Government officials as well as experts in Syrian history, economics, religion and justice should be included in these talks in order provide resolution. "For lack of guidance a nation falls but victory is won through many advisors" (Prov 11:14)
