The cost of medical treatment in most other countries is way less that it is in usa. I feel that the Govt. should pay for
treatment abroad through medicare and medicaid. American citizens should be allowed to get treatment abroad like Britain. For example i just had heart bypass surgery in usa and it cost me $ 67,000- whereas in India it would have cost medicare $7,000- approximately including the air fare.
