Medicare--Fund Adult Care Briefs

Created by M.C. on April 30, 2015

Over 23 million Americans age 60+ are economically insecure. Many are not eligible for Medicaid yet their SS check does not cover food and other basic needs. There are currently no programs that offer financial assistance to those who need adult “briefs” (adult diapers), leaving many seniors trapped in their homes.
Medicare policy must change to help cover costs for these invaluable products. Since people are living longer it is critically important to invest in programs that can help them afford products that will allow them to remain independent.
The cost of adult care briefs is negligible compared to the astronomical costs of early institutionalization, depression and other health problems. We must help keep our seniors social, mobile, and engaged in life.
