Marijuana should be legal for medical use only. Sixteen out of the fifty states legalized the use of medicinal marijuana. President Obama has stated that he is “not going to be using Justice Department resources to try to circumvent state laws on this issue.” However, the Justice Department is still trying to prosecute offenders in legalized states. They are wasting their time that should be spent on more important issues such as terrorism. This is a violation of states rights because the federal government should not be interferring.
