Mike Rowe runs the mikeroweWORKS foundation- Providing scholarships and other aid to Americans interested in learning a skilled trade for their careers. President Obama, we believe, has missed an opportunity to engage with this personality who sincerely wants to improve our economy and to remove the stigma associated with many of the more difficult and unglamorous careers available. The President's former opponent, Mitt Romney, at least paid lip service to supporting trades in America, and while we believe the Democrats do more concrete work so far as job creation, they need to step up their game publicly. Mike Rowe is an amazingly talented voice who wants to work to further those goals. President Obama, please invite Mr. Rowe to the White House and have this conversation.
