Career politicians are the root of the Washington problem. They get into this business for power and money. It should be considered more of a community service. Do your time and move on. This petition will encourage term limits and a maximum yearly pay. There will also be no lifetime benefits of any kind. They will also be held to a higher standard in the eyes of the law. Abusing the public's trust and finances should carry a VERY high penalty. Criminal activity will be punished twice as hard as the law requires for the rest of us.
