Mentally ill and weapons

I have a neighbor that has hit a few parked cars and takes off and says he don't know what to do if he hits some one and does not know between right or left. so if you want take take the guns from mental disabled people like my neighbor then you would have to pull his license to drive to. You cant just leave a accident seen and say you don't know what to do. They should be checked out before they get a license to drive and be checked out before they are able to purchase a firearm. Car is just as dangerous as a gun is. Don't want some one with a Mental illness driving a vehicle and not knowing what to do if he or she gets into an accident.. proof of Evaluation should be done and showed to DMV or to a Firearm dealer before taking that DL or firearm out the door
