I should save this for the blog, but a petition is more powerful for catching attention.
Putin is not only attacking Crimea for its sought-out resources. He believes that we have shifted from our classic "providing for the common defense" policy to a "providing for the American Dollar" policy. He sees weakness in us; he knows that we will defend Crimea only for its oil reserves.
If we prove him right, we risk showing weakness to our other enemies. Perhaps they will close off OUR resources; perhaps they will attack us in our homefront. Perhaps they will start World War 3 or a nuclear holocaust.
What will happen, I'm afraid to think about. All I ask is to keep me informed.
