merge the United States and Canada to become a "Super Country"

The United States of America needs to merge with the friendly neighbors to the north known as Canada because it will greatly help our economy and country's military defenses. I propose this idea because Canada and the US are so close in public relations, having over 3 million Canadians working in the US, that we need to make it official and demolish the border between our two countries. If the two of us were able to combine into one country then we would have a larger economy than the European Union and a great military strength to protect all of the undeveloped natural resources up north. Also merging countries would create more opportunities for population growth and the necessary amount of space to fit the growing population of the new and improved country.
