METAL DETECTORS IN MOVIE THEATRES

Created by D.M. on August 26, 2016

We all know movie theaters are "Gun Free" Zones but has history has proven before, that doesn't stop a deranged killer from bringing in a gun and killing innocent movie goers. Gun Free Zones only stop the law abiding citizens, in some states those citizens have a permit to carry, and being caught with a firearm could result in them losing that privilege. My local movie theaters have went from checking just purses for weapons to doing nothing at all. I have witnessed people bringing in backpacks to a movie and pulling out laptops. That could have easily been a gun. I would like to see either the gun free zone lifted from theaters to take targets off movie goers backs or a nation wide law requiring movie theaters to have metal detectors installed with law enforcement present.
