Almost all countries of the world have now adopted the metric system of units (meter kilogram second) of measurements. It is ironic that USA continues using the imperial system.
USA is paying a great price for this. Costly & embarrassing loss of Mars orbiter, poor communication between schools and trades, increased prices of imported goods, and difficulty in exporting goods to metric-system countries are a few examples.
It is petitioned that USA should adopt the metric system in all areas, in all states, and without further delays.
