The state of Illinois has been without a budget for over a year. The current governor has demanded the removal of collective bargaining for state employees and other anti-labor rules before he will agree to a budget. As a result, the state has fallen on hard times, and universities, K-12 schools, and a host of other social services have had to make severe cuts.
We need a new governor, and Michelle Obama would be the perfect leader to rejuvenate our state. PLEASE RUN IN 2018!
