migrate to a Linux-based environment in order to significantly cut operating costs in many sectors of the government.

Created by B.F. on March 31, 2012

With the ever-expanding debt crisis looming over the heads of the American people, cutting costs in all sectors of government activity should be a priority. Despite this, many systems still operate under a financially-inefficient product: Microsoft Windows.

The Linux operating system has fully matured and is currently in use by some of the largest institutions and governments in the world. While many organizations, such as the Department of Defense, currently make use of this free alternative, a larger-scale transition to a Linux-powered platform would save a considerable amount of money annually.
