I'm petitioning that all U.S. Troops & their dependants, DOD Civilians, & Military Contractors on active duty & or TDY status shall be priority on all U.S. flights. I'm petitioning this so those personnel do not risk being AWOL at work for missing flights. This will maintain readiness of our military. I also recommend that when flight reservations are made online that the website must ask if the person is one of the three listed above (a member of the U.S. Military or dependant, DOD Civilian, or DOD Contractor). This act will prevent troops from losing money on flights, due to obtaining non refundable tickets. Troops do not get the chance to take leave like ordinary civilians. I believe the troops who fight for our country, & those who support the mission should be guaranteed a flight.
