This petition is to show that the military service members want to be heard. These laws could effect us negatively too.
Our issue isn't entirely about the 2nd Amendment, and we are not asking for no new gun control laws to be made. We are asking that the topic is not rushed through and that all issues under consideration are addressed individually as to prevent a problem where irrational and misinformed laws based on emotion and not statistics are passed. Find logical middle ground.
Allow us to privately own the "assault" weapons that we enjoy for safe recreational use.
Law enforcement personnel are often exempt but we are not like in California where service members cannot buy high capacity magazines or certain firearms.
