Military Service required to be Commander in Chief

Created by J.V. on August 13, 2016

The President of the United States is called the Commander in Chief because he or she is the leader of our military forces. How can one lead our military forces if they have never been one of them, lived among them, suffered as one of them, or even lost a brother/sister as one of them?
It should be mandatory that all presidential candidates be required to serve in the military a minimum of eight years (one reinlistment) to be able to run for President.
