Military Spouse Education Debt Relief

Created by C.M. on August 18, 2014

Military spouses should be granted freedom from interest accrual on federal school loan debt. Interest should not accrue while they cannot pay loans due to job instability directly related to being a military spouse. Frequent movement of military families results in job instability and thus problems in continuing payment on spouses' school loans, resulting in constantly increasing debt for the families of soldiers. Military spouses follow their soldiers in support of the soldier, the military, and the safety and stability of our nation. Military spouses should be under a "pay when you work" system that is free from interest. It is unfair and un-American for the government to add debt and stress to the military families that support our nation's freedom.
