The current members of the Office of Congressional Ethics are mostly prior Senators and Congressmen. It makes no sense to create an oversight committee that only caters to the very people they previously worked with. Members of Congress must be subjected to a non-biased policing authority which ensures each member is performing in an ethical manner.
Allow an outside firm to determine who is being ethical versus unethical in congress and "clean house" as needed. This will not only prevent the "buddy system" which currently exists but create more visibility as to what congress is or is not doing with our taxpayer dollars.
