Minimize the risk to our service members' safety by not requiring that uniforms be worn when traveling through airports.

Created by M.S. on December 18, 2015

With the current climate of our country and with direct threats made by ISIS to our military personnel, it seems irresponsible to force them to wear their uniforms when traveling through airports, significantly increasing their risk of becoming a target.

In December of 2014, the FBI released a joint intelligence warning to military members to exercise increased vigilance, since ISIS is asking that military members be specifically targeted. The FBI requested that military members review their social media accounts for anything that would draw attention to their identity as a military member. This increased vigilance should also extend to our service members not being required to wear their uniforms while flying. We should do everything that we can to protect our service members.
