Minimum age for firearms purchase = 26 years old

Created by M.C. on December 14, 2012

The 2nd amendment is a fundamental right to all Americans. This can never be taken away. However, there is an age where responsibility begins to develop, and that is not 18 or 21 years old. We must protect our citizen's rights to own a gun, but protect our lives and our children from those that are not responsible enough to own one. Require the minimum age for ALL firearms purchases to be at least 26 years old. If a firearm is gifted from a parent to a child less than 26 years old, than it is assumed that the parent/child relationship is solid and firearm safety is known, and should not be infringed.
