Minimum Mandatory Jail sentence for leaving a child alone in a vehicle for any amount of time.

The stories are becoming more and more frequent. The statistics are heart wrenching.

Total number of U.S. heatstroke deaths of children left in cars, 1998-present: 625
More than half of the deaths are children under 2 years of age
Parents are forgetting and/or leaving their children in their vehicles.These children are suffering in the worst ways imaginable. Something has got to change.I would like for congress to make it law effective immediately that ALL cases of children being left alone in vehicles that a MINIMUM MANDATORY JAIL sentence be imposed ON TOP OF further charges and prosecution. ZERO TOLERANCE.
