Up the minimum sentence of a rapist to ten years rather than the average ,and appalling, one to eight.

Rape is not just a crime against individuals, it is a crime against humanity. A man or woman who has strength should never use it to force themselves on those weaker than them. The fact that these individuals who carry out such acts can spend any of their lives free while their victims are forced to a lifetime of pain is a travesty of justice. I petition that we make the minimum sentence for a rapist ten years. This happens way to often and we have not done enough to stop it.
