MINOR DRUG OFFENDERS ARE FILLING AMERICA'S JAILS AND PRISONS!! FREE THE PRISONERS FROM THE WAR ON DRUGS!

Created by J.V. on July 13, 2015

Tens of thousands of minor drug offenders, mostly poor minorities struggling with long term drug addiction and/or mental health issues, are presently incarcerated across the United States. Every day they spend in prison (instead of in drug rehab and community based programs) continues to deteriorate families, burden the taxpayers and already overcrowded prisons, making their eventual return to home and community less likely to be successful. Furthermore, we believe many State and Federal laws have extremely harsh and excessive Mandatory Minimum sentences for these non-violent offenders. We ask you to commute the sentence, or otherwise release from all jails and prisons in the United States anyone who is presently incarcerated on non violent minor drug offenses. Thank you.
