Missing persons cases to be examined and searched at time of report with out a 24/72 hour wait for children and adults.

Created by K.B. on February 21, 2013

Missing persons cases are examined after a period of time to ensure that the person is really missing. When reporting missing children (18 and under), the police have to wait a 24 hour period. On the other hand, there is a 72 hour wait for adults ( age 18 and older). While waiting this much time, the missing persons could be hurt more or even killed in the time wasted wondering if they are at a friends house or foul play has occured. Hundreds of people go missing and are not found until it is too late each year. By reducing this time, there is a better chance of them being found alive and saving someones life.
