Donald Trump poses grave risk to national and global stability. His unwillingness to commit fully to his new role as a public servant and his divisive choices for key positions of leadership demonstrate his inability to fulfill the elected role of POTUS. The Electoral College was intended for precisely this situation. If, post election, it is clear that the choice of the people is a danger to the state, the EC has the right and responsibility to act for the good of the nation. To consider this action however, it is important to have a specific delegated alternative. Despite the popular vote, it is clear that Hillary Clinton is a divisive candidate and unacceptable to most Republicans. In the interest of stability we propose Mitt Romney as a compromise candidate.
