Background:
Currently all mobile carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-mobile and Sprint as well as others) are reluctant to release software updates to devices after manufacturers make them available.
What this does is force citizens to purchase new devices with old devices possibly ending up in landfills. As we all know cell phones have multiple toxic components that are damaging the environment.
Furthermore we believe that there is an anti-trust issue with this practice and the practice of loading unwanted and undeletable programs on phone.
Requests:
We the people request that this practice stop and the carriers make unwanted software able to be deleted.
This will make devices last longer and operate better since all the extra software that can monitor activities removable.
