Imagine living in Raleigh and working Charlotte( 2 hour drive), or living in Miami and working in Tampa ( 3 hour drive). You can do that with a 30-45min high speed rail ride. This would allow local communities to expand their career options through in a increase in accessible job markets. Planes are great, but the frequency and time commitment to fly relatively short distances don't add up. We need to fill this market segment!! Build high speed rails.
