Current physics education is woefully inadequate and only addresses physics up to 1865. Due to this students are missing out on most of the developments that enable our modern world to function. Students also tend to find modern physics much more interesting than classical or "old" physics. As a result, modernizing the curriculum would be an excellent way to get our students genuinely interested in the fields we need for our modern society to function: science, engineering, and math. We request that you create or promote much stronger standards for the US science education at all grade levels to keep our future bright.
