The United States Infrastructure is decisively Out Of Date compared to other moderized countries in Europe and Asia. Advanced public transportation networks such as high speed rail are found around the world, however not in the US. Light rail, subway/metro networks, modernized busing networks, and low cost airlines are something that not only enhance the lives of people living in urban or close to urban settings, but also DRASTICALLY reduce dependencies on foriegn oil while reducing emissions.
FDR once said "Throughout the nation men and women, forgotten in the political philosophy of the Government, look to us here for guidance and for more equitable opportunity to share in the distribution of national wealth... This is more than a political campaign. It is a call to arms."
