Police Officers across the United States are put into difficult situations in enforcing law and order - sometimes these situations are impossible to delineate if individuals pose a risk to the safety and lives of police officers and civilians in the area. The majority of the US police force's escalation of force equipment at distances greater than 15 ft are extremely limited, requiring police officers to make difficult life/death decisions in situations where they perceive a threat and non-compliant individuals.
We ask for the President to engage to create, establish, and distribute non-lethal disabling weapons solutions to police officers throughout the country that will allow for disabling potential threats as quick as current firearms, saving both citizens and police officers lives.
