Seeing that all lives inherently have value, I propose a compromise. The congress shall enact legislation banning the ownership of high capacity sporting rifles (i.e AR 15 type weapons), they shall also require gun owners to register in a local militia that shall meet no fewer than twice a year for one day, this requirement will be enforced by the states. Congress will also enact legislation that bans the use of the death penalty in all states. As a compromise the congress will ban all elective abortions (i.e. those not involving the life of the mother) after a fetal heartbeat is detected.
