Modify The Affordable Care Act to Allow Insurance Companies to Compete Across State Lines and Include Tort Reform!

Created by J.R. on November 29, 2012

Allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines will ultimately drive the cost of coverage down and the quality of coverage up.

Tort reform will let doctors stop practicing "defensive medicine" (which, in a nutshell, means ordering every test under the sun just to cover their behind when some lawyer inevitably sues them).
-60% of American Doctors have been sued at least once by late-career.
-Lawyers have every incentive to sue and no incentive not to. They get paid a lot of money when an insurance company settles.

People who have been wronged by medical malpractice absolutely have a legitimate right to remediation (and legal recourse if they cant get it). But the status quo is anything but legitimate! It's a colossal waste of money!
