Modify and enhance monopoly laws. Though the business drive to be the most profitable is essential, that tactic needs more regulation. As companies grow and absorb/destroy their competition this reduces the competition for customers resulting in higher prices and less accessible resources. The need to provide effective customer service is lost due to an "only option" mentality. As internet service providers, television programing providers, retail stores, medical care facilities, etc, etc. are "clotted" into giant masses the cost of those services are increased so are the limitations. Employment opportunities are consolidated, wages are decreased due to the lack of specialty. Though no real evidence may exist "or is hidden" and these results aren't typical. This needs to be mended.
