This petition is in order to stop the abuse of the Cuban Adjustment Act. Currently, Cubans can arrive to the United States and request Asylum. Cuban born people can arrive from any place with any citizenship and obtain benefits that many United States Citizens are not able to obtain, simply because they are Cuban Nationals. After one year and one day, they obtain U.S Residency and then start making frequent trips to Cuba for vacation and to visit family. These trips are usually accompanied by many items that are sold for much more than the purchase price and the money acquired goes unreported to the US Government as income. Cuban Adjustment Act is being abused daily and needs to be revised or even completely abolished.
