Modify existing gun laws to require basic liability insurance similar to the insurance we carry for our motor vehicles.

Created by R.R. on October 12, 2015

Require Firearm owners to carry minimum liability insurance.

To operate any form of transportation, airplanes, boats and motor vehicles, in America we have accepted the fact that improper or untrained operation of a motor vehicle can lead to serious injury to yourself and others and we have mandated that to fulfill the legal liability of ownership we must carry certain minimum liability insurance coverage to protect us from lawsuits and seizure of our monies and properties by the injured parties.

Gun ownership is no different. What rates we will pay for insurance will be determined in a case by case basis. Factors include; age, experience, training, proficiency, history, mental state and firearm type will determine the rates you will pay to insure each firearm you own.
