...modify the HHS mandate so that Americans are no longer required to violate their consciences.

Created by B.V. on February 11, 2012

The present Administration, through the Health and Human Services Department, is mandating that all employer healthcare insurance plans provide coverage for procedures which violate the beliefs of many Americans.

To adhere to the Constitution, the Administration must either: amend the Constitution so as to alter the First Amendment; mandate conscience protections for each individual American, not simply charities or churches; or rescind the mandate entirely.

This issue was petitioned once before (wh.gov/kl3); however, President Obama's response (not that of Ms. Muñoz) merely rephrased the original mandate, rather than rescinding it as was requested. The original petition was also closed, so we express our objections anew.
