Modify Higher Education Academic Calendars to end fall semester before Thanksgiving week

I think that there should be a law that fall semesters in colleges and universities throughout the United States end before Thanksgiving week. Specifically, the semester would start a few weeks earlier, like in early August and everyone would finish final exams before Thanksgiving week. This way, college (and graduate student) students can have a happier Thanksgiving dinner with their family and friends with a stress-free peace of mind and without worrying about upcoming large projects, papers and exams. Family dinners during the Holidays (like Christmas and Hanukkah) would also likely be significantly peaceful with happier conversations instead of parents harassing their college/graduate school son/daughter about their academics and grades.
