Modify the HUD Good Neighbor Next Door Program to include Veteran's.

Created by D.C. on December 05, 2012

Currently this program only includes Law Enforcement Officers, pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade Teachers and Firefighters/Emergency Medical Technicians as those who can contribute to community revitalization while becoming homeowners through HUD's Good Neighbor Next Door Sales Program. HUD offers a substantial incentive in the form of a discount of 50% from the list price of the home. In return they must commit to live in the property for 36 months as their sole residence.

This program should be modified to include Veteran's. This would be opportunity to welcome our veteran's to our neighborhoods as a good neighbor who contributes to community revitalization.
