On this historic day, the enslaved were freed along with the many American people who were against slavery. National Freedom Day is the greatest moment in history and it should be recognized as such. It represents peace, acceptance and love for all people and declaring it a federal holiday will bring unity to a world that is divided by racism and hate. As the fight for freedom continues, it is time for the people to come together to lead the way. We believe our children need to know the importance of freedom for all people. We believe America has been divided long enough. Modify the list, show the world that America is freedom.
