Modify or Leave the Space Treaty of 1967

Created by E.S. on January 28, 2014

The international space treaty of 1967 has some good points however it prohibits the owning of any land in outerspace. This has greatly slowed down the development of outerspace as industries that would be poring money into space research to mine things such as asteroids are unable to do so. Just as industries paid to have America Colonized we must allow industries to do the same in outerspace. While much of the treaty is good, such as the banning of nuclear weapons in space, we must modify it to allow the owning of land in space. Space is the final frontier and it is the heritage of man, but we must allow man to discover and advance it.
