Peace is an important factor in becoming a type one civilization. A type one civilization is, is a population who has complete control of their planet and are able to to use the planet its-self as an efficient source of energy. This can't be achieved without world peace because everyone needs to work together in order to be able to control the earth as a whole. The United States of America can take a step towards a type one civilization by becoming peaceful. The U.S is too concerned with joining wars that don't need the U.S. This causes the feeling of need for an ever increasing military budget, but as a world power the goal should be to eliminate armies not keep increasing them. War will eventually destroy the planet, Peace can save it, so that's where money needs to be spent.
