PM 2.5 particles in the air have been proved to be one of the main cause of cancers and respiratory disease. It is much more dangerous than the usual air quality indicator PM 10, but few countries are capable or willing to monitor these deadly and invisible particles in the air, or to expose their existence.
The US Embassy in Beijing had pioneered to monitor the poisonous air there and succeeded in protecting the health of US citizens by providing the correct information of PM2.5 particles.
I suggest US Embassies in the world should provide US oversea citizens with the life-saving data of local air qualities, especially in foggy cities where there are a lot of industries,no local monitoring and a large number of US visitors such as Zurich.
