Monitor private student loan rates

Created by E.V. on June 09, 2014

Currently the second largest form of debt in the United States is Student Loan debt. Although President Obama has been working to help on Government Student Loans, there is nothing being done to regulate private student loans. I petition the President to identify that private student loan debt is a concern for the United States economy and potentially the next financial bubble to burst. We as a nation need to promote education and make it affordable, we can aid in doing that by limiting the interests rates private institutions are allowed to charge for student loan debt. I suggest the best way to do that would for private institutions to identify what they are able to obtain their money at, and the USG authorizes a certain percentage more as the maximum lending amount.
