Moratorium on Hydrolic Fracturing in Staes With Drought

Created by J.D. on August 07, 2015

We the people want a moratorium placed on Hydraulic Fracturing in all states experiencing drought. See the current droughts in The United States here-, http://www.drought.gov/m/, .This moratorium should last a minimum of one year, beyond the end of the drought to allow aquifers, ground water supplies, reservoirs, streams, rivers and lakes to fully recover. Currently hydraulic fracturing or more commonly known as "FRACKING”’uses 3-5 million gallons per time, and nationally billions of gallons per day. This water is needed for drinking, bathing, agriculture and the environmental sustainability of all life. It is imperative that we stop using water in unsustainable ways, such as hydraulic fracturing in areas that have an ongoing drought.
