Public education is designed towards conformity, everyone is the same. This is not true; people may have a special interest. There is also people that learn slower, or in different ways. Some of these ways may include labs, verbal instruction, or viewing examples. I see the new common core standard going against all of these. Education is not just Math,Reading, and science. It is more. Students may have a ideal career path, for example you may want to be a mechanic, do you really need to know the square root of 100 is 10. No. I believe in a career oriented education. Also, instead of classroom based education, we could teach on the job training.
