Petition 2 discussed how paid certified email system would bring the USPS back to profitability.

Bitcoins allow small micropayments. USPS could charge very low amounts for certified email. Bitcoin is decentralized: USPS would not have to pay high transaction fees. Certified mail could be encrypted for higher security. Spam would be reduced. The receiver could opt to receive spam for a Bitcoin fee paid by the sender. USPS could offer a "print on demand" service. A business could email a large document to USPS. The post office would print it. The receiver could pick it up at their local post office.
