Many Arkansas residents have unfortunately been affected by the lack of laws in favor of rents. It is no secret that in Arkansas there is a renters beware rule. While some apartment/home rent in Arkansas is low because of no law to protect renters, renters have actually paid a higher price by not being protected by the law from unfair landlords. This saying is also false, not all Arkansas rent is cheap. For example in The West Memphis/Marion Arkansas $600 a month will get you a run down home or apartment in a very over populated and dangerous part of town. Most apartments and homes rent for in a safe area in good shape rent for $800+. I believe this is unfair and we should have protective laws for rents like every other state.
