More sleep for kids and teens

Created by M.H. on December 09, 2016

This petition is addressing the amount of homework kids are recieving from schools, how early kids wake up for school, how little sleep they get, how much time they spend on their homework each night, and how sleep affects their brain's development and decision making skills. Sign this petition if you agree kids are in need of more sleep, less stress, and believe that kids need to focus on being kids. The amount of sleep kids and teens get affects the development of the frontal lobe, the part of the brain that controls decision making. It is not fully developed until age 25, until then it is vital to get enough sleep for the safety of yourself and others.
