More solar power road ways would save money. It also, decentralize the utility power which increases national security.

There are several way to save money by resurfacing old asphalt with solar panels. It could cut out the $160 billion lost in lost productivity from people sitting in traffic due to road maintenance since each panel is easily replaced. Snow nor ice will accumulate which saves money. Melted snow is drained off in to a built in storage tank. then sent into existing drainage system or pumped where needed like the irrigation systems. The panels last up to 30 years. The prototype cost about the same as asphalt per square footage.
Decentralizing power with solar panel roads would increase national security and cut out the possibility of a terrorist attack on our power/nuclear plants.
