"We the People" are tried of waiting on Congress to pass a law that helps homeowners who have been victims of preatory lending by mortgage companies like Central Pacific Bank (CPB) to obtain relief. The banks didn't have to wait 5 years for a bail out or wait for Congress (whom continue to be incompent) to pass a law.
The reality is this: taxpayers continue to pay mortgages while trying to renegociate loans only to be told: what's the problem? you are making your payments. In other words, stop making the payments and we'll surely CALL YOU; however, nothing happens. Other than taxpayers lose their homes, credit, and forced into bankruptsy. and guess what, now you don't qualify to rent an apartment. REALLY!! What are we to do????
